Extended Bio Profile:
In 1953, Mr. Juncadella received the Ricardo Dolz Arango National Law Award, which enabled him to work as a public defender before Havana, Cuba's highest criminal court from 1953 to 1955. In 1956, Mr. Juncadella joined Bufete de Mendoza, the oldest and one of the largest law firms in pre-Castro Cuba, as an associate. He served as a partner there from 1957 to 1962. Mr. Juncadella is particularly knowledgeable about the laws, customs, and lawyers of more than 25 countries spanning from Mexico to Argentina and including the Caribbean nations. Before joining the firm, Mr. Juncadella served for more than 25 years in various countries as corporate counsel for the Exxon Corporation's affiliates in Latin America. He also served Exxon as general counsel of Esso Inter-America, Inc., a regional office located in Coral Gables, Florida, overseeing petroleum interests in the Caribbean Sea and Central and South America.
