She became involved in her profession because she always wanted to learn sign language, she saw a woman using sign language interpreting her song on television and she was inspired.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Gaines began studying at the New York School of American Sign Language Institute, after being featured in the Spanish music video for MTV, by Jose Alberto, her love of dance brought her to teach hip-hop, Funk and lyrical dance, she had success as a singer, dancer, and actress, using her talents to sing in New York and a featured entertainer on cruise ships.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Creating a musical group to dance and sign to music; Teaching six classes of American sign language at Howard W. Blakley High School in Tampa, Florida; Handling hip hop dance classes at The University of Tampa as an adjunct professor
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Gaines hopes to have her group Sign Of Da' Times be seen and known.
