She became involved in her profession because she was influenced by the work her mother did as a nurse.

Ms. Salisbury has Been in Healthcare profession for 30 years. She Began as an EMT/Paramedic then a RN. In the Beginning of her Career she Worked as a Volunteer EMT in the Rural Areas of Missouri. After Moving to Florida she Worked with Students at Lake City Community College as a Teaching Assistant in Addition to Taking Classes to Further her Career. During this time She worked for Lake Shore Hospital Ambulance Service as a EMT/Paramedic She Also Taught for Lake City Community College After Receiving her RN Degree. Education has Been a Very Important Part in her Life, Not Only for Increasing her Own Knowledge but in Helping Others Realize their Goals. She Worked as a Paramedic in the Emergency Room at Lake City Medical Center Hospital and then as a RN. She was at Lake City Medical Center for 14 years; the last 7 years as Patient Care Coordinator. She has been Employed at Shands Lake Shore Hospital for 5 years and is a Charge RN on a Telemetry Floor. Patient and Family Well Being is Extremely Important to her as Well as that of the Staff that Works with her.
