She became involved in her profession after coming to the U.S. when she married a naval officer and had a son, and began her education for a career in the medical field.

Ms. Nehring is a registered nurse working as an ICU bedside nurse at Gulf Coast Medical Center where she also worked as a charge nurse for four years. As a stroke specialist, she conducts assessments and contacts appropriate doctors.
Her words of wisdom that she lives by are: "Always remember, that when one door is closed, many others may open in front of you, and your life can be change if your desire is strong enough."
