She attributes her success to her devotion to helping others.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after starting in home care as a pediatric nurse for four years. She started a home care company and operated it for six years with much success. She stared working as a regional manager in home care, 10 years for national and international companies, including starting a home-care convalescent platform for one of them, Novartis Nutrition. It was after working in home care for more than 18 years that she decided to venture out on her own and open her business.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Stanford has been a registered nurse for 24 years, in home and long-term care for 19 years, and has had her business for 3 1/2 years. She has served on home care advisory boards, and is currently a registered nurse with a degree in business administration and an administrator’s license. Her nursing experience stems from the inspiration she gained from caring for her mother, who was in a horrific motorcycle accident when she was only a teenager. Ms. Stanford’s business is the only company that offers mental care services in her area. The most heart-wrenching moment of her career occurred when she was a pediatric home care nurse, and a 6-year-old boy stricken with cancer died in her arms in the family room of his family's home.
