Caring and creating a trustworthy relationship with all her patients separates her. She has a very gentle touch and will go above and beyond what the requirements of the job are.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Continuously being devoted to her nursing career for 30 years is her greatest career achievement. Also, knowing that when her patients are getting better or being able to be there for them and the family when the illness is grim.
How would you like to be remembered by your peers?:
She would like to be remembered as a good person who is caring, responsible and good hearted.
If you could solve one problem in the world today, what would it be?:
To stop the war, and create peace.
If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?:
Mary Kay Ash, because of how many people she has motivated and how she has changed women's lives for the better since creating the Mary Kay, Inc. company.
Expanded Biography:
Mrs. Marin was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and has been living in South Florida since she was 12 years old. She was married at age 22 to her husband of now 29 years; everyone tells her what an accomplishment that is. Her husband was also born in Brooklyn, and they went to the same high school, but he graduated before she started. Jeff has been an immigration agent for 24 years. They have two great daughters who are now 24 and 26. Both girls are engaged and getting married in the next one to two years. Her older daughter is a teacher and her younger daughter is a college graduate with a psychology degree. They are both in school for master's degrees.

Mrs. Marin graduated Jackson Memorial School of Nursing in Miami, Florida. She has been a registered nurse for 30 years, 10 years on a telemetry/step down unit and then 20 years as a home health care nurse. She has had the opportunity to meet so many different types of people and has learned something from all of them. Of course the person she learned the most from was her mother who unfortunately passed away in 1990, at the age of 54 from breast cancer. Her mother was an incredible woman. As a home care nurse for about seven years, she went to a patient's home who had also been a nurse. The patient is now a Mary Kay sales director and has been for 18 years. She taught Mrs. Marin a lot about business and life, and has also beaten malignant melanoma. It is nothing short of a miracle. Mrs. Marin became a Mary Kay consultant because of all the the amazing things the Mary Kay director told her about the company. She loves doing makeovers, making woman look and feel beautiful, and helping to change their lives. Her future plans are to possibly go back to school for a bachelor's degree in nursing and become a Mary Kay director. She always tries to live her life with a positive attitude.

The highlight of her career was meeting a wide range of diverse people and the relationships she built and what she learned from them, as well going to her Mary Kay director's house as a nurse and then becoming a Mary Kay consultant.

She became involved in her profession because she likes to help people. She believes that people should be able to enjoy their life for as long as possible with the best health possible.
