The highlight of his career was leading a project that ultimately produced "God’s Word," an exceptional new English translation of God's saving, life-changing message that is written in clear, natural English and not theological jargon.

He attributes his success to his trusted leadership, decision-making, and management skills, as well as his vision, integrity, and exceptional verbal and written communication and relational skills. He also credits the tremendous confidence and talent that God has given him.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because he felt called by God to change his career from the sales and executive path at IBM and enter the ministry.
Extended Bio Profile:
Prior to entering the seminary in late-1982, Rev. Hackbardt was one of IBM's top salespeople, specializing in the areas of manufacturing, inventory, shop floor, and CAD/CAM applications. He left a lucrative executive path to serve his God. Mr. Hackbardt was born in 1947 and married his wife, Linda Sue, in 1970. They are blessed with two wonderful adult sons and a grandson. He has accomplished many of his goals. He is a dynamic spokesman.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Overseeing the administrative, public relations, and Bible editorial functions of the organization; Negotiating publishing agreements; Speaking to groups that range from 30 to 4,000 people; Traveling and speaking to both secular and religious organizations about effective communication; Speaking to religious groups regarding biblical outreach strategies to become seed planters and change lives
