The highlight of his career as a high school mathematics teacher was being assigned as the head of the mathematics department. In this capacity, he oversaw the duties of the other teachers in the department and made sure that all their responsibilities were met.

Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession in the 1960s because he felt there was a need to better educate youth in mathematics.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Wilson is a retired mathematics educator who taught for 36 years in middle and high schools. He was affiliated with soccer and wrestling and served as the adviser to the ski club for 34 years. He was involved with football programs for 28 years and served as a baseball umpire for 14 years. He also coached basketball for 18 years.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Teaching statistics, geometry and Advanced Placement calculus to high-caliber students in 10th through 12th grades; Helping students achieve their goals; Providing students with quality education; Serving as chairman of the mathematics department; Coaching athletics, including soccer, wrestling, football and basketball; Umpiring baseball; Serving as adviser to the ski club
