What do you feel separates you from the rest of the professionals in your industry?:
Miss. Delagera feels that the pet care industry has people who all have the same goal. She has rarely come across an individual who has motives outside the welfare and health of 'pet families,' wildlife and critters alike. Most people in her industry are dedicated professionals who hold true to the cause with selfless endeavor. Many of them consider pets and animals in general should be treated with the same respect and care as people do 'human families.' Miss. Delagera is proud to be a member of such an altruistic industry.
What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Miss. Delagera's greatest achievement is yet to occur. Though others may not believe it, her goal is to go out of business. She would love to see a world where pets are seen as family members in the same places people patronize. She would like to see assisted living facilities for seniors, and an all rental housing, hotels, motels, and vacation resorts nationally and internationally welcome both pets and families as clients.
Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The most gratifying aspect of her career is seeing the smiles of pet owners, leaving the facility with cured pets.
Number Of Years In Profession:
13
What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
She attributes her success to her love for all living things, and personal drive to make positive advancements in animal welfare and rights.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she wanted to save pet owners emotional pain by providing them with pet-care alternatives.
Extended Bio Profile:
Miss. Delagera previously worked as a veterinary nurse in emergency and general practices for 12 years. She has attended a variety of continuing education courses on veterinary medicine. She writes letters, lobbies and petitions for worldwide welfare and animal rights organizations. At her pet care facility, owners can leave their pets for the rest of their lifetimes. She allows clients to communicate with their pets through Skype and webcam visits at scheduled times of the day.

Miss. Delageral feels that with all the problems the government is faced with today, animal wellness and welfare are at the bottom of the list. Therefore, despite her hopes of creating an alternative to 'economic euthanasia,' she doubt she'll ever get to see that in her lifetime, so she is not too worried about going out of business from a financial point of view, although she would love for her business to not be needed anymore.

Her favorite quote from Rachael Carson is posted in her office: 'We can not have peace among men who's hearts find delight in killing any living creature.' She also idolizes the wisdom of the Dalai Lama, Gandhi, Jesus and the Jainism religion in India. The type of respect for all life that this religion practices has tremendous meaning for her. She admires their practices and she wishes she had that type of discipline, but strives to do better everyday.
