She became involved in her profession after working in the diplomacy sector for 23 years. After serving as the president of the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate General of Colombia, she saw this career move as an exciting and new opportunity.

Ms. Jaramillo-Maincourt is the Colombian ambassador in India and the consul general of Colombia in Hong Kong. Due to her knowledge and commitment, she has been widely recognized in the Miami’s Hispanic and Colombian community as an icon of leadership. She is an expert on tourism and finds that it fosters development, investment and education. Ms. Jaramillo-Maincourt is married and has a daughter.
