She became involved in her profession because of her interest in technology innovation and team management.

Ms. Ijam is known for her ability to build strong alliances between information technology and business, translate strategy into action, set goals, and organize teams to deliver on those goals. She was a senior programmer and analyst for two years with Fannie Mae and a quality assurance lead at U.S. Bancorp for one year. She was with Intel Corporation for 12 years, serving in a variety of roles: SAP (systems, applications and products) program manager, finance information systems department manager, enterprise manager of the SAP program management office, director of strategy and operations, and professional services director. She spent three years with Freddie Mac as business initiatives and program director. She managed the relaunch of Amtrak’s e-commerce sales and marketing channels (website and mobile applications), and is currently responsible for enterprise and the SAP center of excellence. She is fluent in Arabic.
