She became involved in her profession because she was interested in chemistry and nutrition and started working in clinical dietetics.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Angotti started her career as a therapeutic, clinical registered dietitian at The Fairfax Hospital in 1969. She left to open her own nutrition consulting firm. In 1974, she became the first registered dietitian to successfully open and sustain a private practice. She is the first female to hold the title of director of occupational health longer than any of her predecessors.
Ms. Angotti has written a policy to put programs in place, to provide occupational and preventive health services to maintain and improve the health of NASA employees with a focus on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of illness and injuries caused or aggravated by the work environment.
