He became involved in his profession because of his deep-seated desire to help people and make a difference in their lives; he also loves the sciences and was attracted to transplantation because it is an expanding field.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Hull has been the director of Hartford Hospital's transplantation program for the past 13 years. He joined the hospital's medical staff in 1987 and at the same time became an associate clinical professor of surgery at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Hull first began working at the University of Connecticut in 1982, as an assistant clinical professor of surgery. He also held the position of assistant professor of surgery at Dartmouth University between 1991 and 2005. Dr. Hull is actively involved with the United Network for Organ Sharing, which allocates organ transplants throughout the United States in accordance with government regulations. He serves on numerous committees at Hartford Hospital and is the medical director of LifeChoice Donor Services, an organ procurement organization. He makes regular presentations at professional conferences and has published more than 70 medical abstracts and research papers.
