The highlight of her career was working with one client which started at five hours per week and increased to 47 hours per week; giving her the opportunity to become intimately involved with her life processes, all the way to her recent transition. Ms. Barbour's heart was wide open for her and she has no regrets. It is currently her honor to assist the family in preparing for her memorial service.

She attributes her success to determination and compassionate care for her clients.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she had enjoyed visiting the elderly in her neighborhood during her youth, and found it was her calling after a lifetime of experiences, spiritual quest, and raising four children. Through her 30 years of secretarial experience and desire to help others, she helps clients set up home offices and get their important papers together, such as powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, wills and trusts.

As the sole proprietor of People, Plants and Paperwork, Ms. Barbour is dedicated to providing in-home assistance and loving care to seniors as an alternative to nursing home care. She cooks, cleans, shops for groceries, provides transportation to appointments, and assists in all aspects of home management.
