Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Novak chose a career in nursing later in her life; she was 40 years old. At the age of 45, she joined the Army Nurse Corps and served in the U.S. Army for 13 years, during which time she was an emergency room nurse in Wurezburg, GE and an emergency medical technician charge nurse in Bosnia in support of Operation Endeavor and Operation Joint Forces. During this assignment, she was also director of nursing for the Family Practice Clinic at the 67th combat support hospital in Wurzburg, GE. Ms. Novak has also held the position of director of nurses of Bright Star Health Care home health care agency in Fort Collins, Co.

Serving as unit manager for nursing services provided within the unit; Teaching staff education for the unit; Holding family conferences for residents and their families
