As Webmaster, Ms. Griggs uses her background as a web designer and developer, graphic editor, researcher, and information technology professional to oversee the national external and internal communications websites, JA.org and the Portal as well as to assist local administrators with their "nested" websites and provide support for the JAEorder.org product-ordering website. She designs architecture, researches and implements enhancements for JA.org, the portal, the Student Center and other centers for JA.org and the more than 180 "nested" area office websites. In addition, Ms. Griggs works with information technology, human resources, marketing, education and development to establish policies and procedures for these and other JA Web properties, provide Web-related training and customer service for JA associates and on-line fundraising efforts at the national level. The recent merger has added support for the International Operations department and merged jaintl.org and ja.org websites to her list of duties along with training and support for associates around the globe on JA's communication websites. Blending working in the office with telecommuting on alternate business days, Ms. Griggs is able to balance the demands of focused concentration for development and support with the needs of face to face interaction with her customers to ensure the most efficient working environment to meet the needs of JA Worldwide. Ms. Griggs helped to redesign the corporate website to help JA's online awareness increase to nearly 2.1 million unique visitors this recent 2004-2005 fiscal year, up 50% from the previous year. Since its launch in 2000, the yearly visitors to ja.org have increased by 3,000%. The recent redesign and expansion of the JA Student Center has opened more avenues for JA Worldwide, reaching out to a new online audience, allowing continued growth and exposure in this important medium. Ms. Griggs also implemented the first portal technology to link associates from around the work via an intranet enabling document sharing, discussion and enhanced search capabilities. Ms. Griggs worked with JA and the U.S. Small Business Administration to create a joint website to increase business awareness and education for teens. Ms. Griggs worked with the Resolution Trust Corporation helping the Denver, CO branch to achieve success approximately one year prior to congressional mandate. Ms. Griggs created the first virtual library of documents for the Rocky Mountain East Region of the Society for Creative Anachronism enabling improved communication throughout the region and laying the groundwork for later Web projects.

Ms. Griggs has been with JA Worldwide since April 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting with a minor in computer science from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, CO in 1988. Her previous experience includes work as a financial reporting specialist with the Resolution Trust Corporation, Webmaster for Shepards/McGraw-Hill, and consultant with a variety of information technology and accounting consulting agencies in the Denver area. She has been recognized for her achievements in the business and information technology industries by the Who’s Who Registry of Professionals, The International Who’s Who Registry of Information Technology Professionals, Empire Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals, The American Biographical Institute, Madison Who’s Who and is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Economics Organization. Ms. Griggs was recently recognized as a VIP member of the Empire Who’s Who Registry.
