Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Freudenthal, who liked children and made learning fun. She feels that education clicked for her at this time, and she never wavered.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Teaching 2nd through 6th grade; Working in staff development; Modeling various instructional strategies in the classroom; Benchmarking students and testing them for placement; Attending pod meetings; Working on professional development
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Lawrey hopes to retire from the public education field, become a consultant for an education company, or begin her own business focused on providing professional development for educators.
