She became involved in her profession through her educational background and work experience. She started in fishing and wildlife biology to be a wildlife veterinarian.

Ms. Tillquist has more than 23 years of experience in environmental consulting, including National Environmental Policy Act(NEPA) analysis. She has provided expert witness testimony in numerous venues, include state-siting application processes and regulatory hearings. Ms. Tillquist has authored a variety of technical papers and often makes technical presentations at professional conferences.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinating the permitting of large capital projects, ranging from pipeline, mining, power plants, oil and gas developments, to solar projects; Evaluating water quality criteria, pesticides, heavy metals, and petroleum hydrocarbons in the environment; Estimating the pipeline failure frequency, spill volumes associated with pipeline failures, and using these data to assess the potential environmental consequences in the event of a release
