She attributes her success to the support she has received from her family, and to her drive, hard work, passion and a strong desire to help and make differences in people's lives.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was active in retail sales, management and marketing. When a friend had passed suddenly, a natural progression took place for her to give back to members of the community; and in realizing young adults’ needs, she spearheaded the first bereavement group for 16 to 24 year olds in Livermoore, Calif.

Working with families and offering them understanding during their difficult times; Orchestrating funeral, memorial and committal services from start to finish; Obtaining vital statistics and biographical information for death certificates; Attaining authorization from local and state agencies; Educating and informing individuals about all of their options regarding long-term care; Assisting them with application processes and assisting them with claim filing procedures when necessary; Serving as an agent from Genworth Financial, Inc., and providing information for long-term health care; Handling speaking engagements and seminars; Working with young people for bereavement groups

Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Gividen intends to write two books, and raise money to build a permanent building for the young adults in Livermore, thus granting bereavement groups a place for young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 a place and tools they need to process a loss. She also hopes to continue to help people, and provide for them the resources for the planning of their future needs in long-term care.
