She became involved in her profession because she was a hairdresser for 23 years, and after going through a divorce, she used therapy to help her find a new career. She had been listening to clients' problems throughout her career, so she decided to go to school to earn a Doctor of Psychology.

Working with mentally retarded adults who may also have other developmental disabilities
