He attributes his success to his knowledge of martial arts, and his martial arts teachers. He applies the knowledge he was taught to create diverse stunts.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after first intending to direct commercials. He interned at an ad agency, but decided that he didn't like the industry. He became more passionate about the fine arts, and went back to martial arts, which he taught. His students suggested that he get into acting, and he went to film school.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Alonzo achieved the goal of black belt in taekwondo and hapkido in the jun chong system by the age of 14, won countless competitions in both fighting and forms, and is well-versed in a wide range of martial arts, including: escrima, kali, boxing, aikido, muay thai, penjak silat, jiu jitsu, capoeira, wushu, judo, and goju ryu karate. His first film was an animated title called, “The Dive of Life”. He has worked on such movies as "Jonah Hex", "Star Trek" and "Mission Impossible 4".

Designing action sequences for movies and television; Executing stunts, including fires burns, wire gags, car chases, and fights; Coordinating the technology for stunts; Maximizing the output of stunt safety and efficiency
