As Chief CRNA, she has helped devise a plan for nurse anesthetists to be more hands on regarding epidurals and spinals. She also helped pass a proposal to change nurse anesthetists non-exempt hourly rate to an exempt salaried position.

She attributes her personal success to believing in herself, having supportive parents who encouraged her to do whatever she wanted to do and always keeping an open mind-there is always something more that can be done.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
After receiving her Associates Degree, she worked as a floor nurse for one year and then became interested in surgery. An anesthetist she worked with suggested she become certified as a nurse anesthetist and she took his advice.
