She attributes her success to her desire to learn, excellent opportunities to continue to advance in her career, and the success of her staff.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after acquiring experience in the medical field as an emergency medical technician and a medical assistant. She took the position the hospital offered as a histology assistant, and through hard work and dedication to her field, was able to progress within her field.
Extended Bio Profile:
In light of her accomplishments, Ms. Robertson would like to acknowledge the significant mentors that have influenced her and have had a tremendous impact on her career: Dr. Ralph McCoy, who taught her about breast cancer and how to read and analyze information like a pathologist, and Ms. Rita Humphrey, her first histologist supervisor who provided personalized training whom without the knowledge of her peers she wouldn't have had the wonderful opportunities she has had throughout her career.

Overseeing employee evaluations and relations; Troubleshooting equipment issues; Problem solving; Overseeing policies and procedures, budgets, interviews, system administration and digital slide scanning; Completing bench work on a regular basis in order to stay current with her skill level
