She attributes her success to her determination to produce quality in all aspects of production, always seeing the bigger picture, and never giveing in to doubt and fear.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession as a makeup artist, after gaining experience as an actress, because she had loved art since she was a child, from sculpture to the Dutch masters in portraiture; she perceives makeup as "basically the study of light and shadow." In addition, she has had a lifelong fascination with biology that contributed to her invention of the product One.
Extended Bio Profile:
After working as an actress on "Days of Our Lives," Ms. Johnson shifted gears and became a makeup artist. Quickly working her way up to serve as department head of hair and makeup, she received an Emmy nomination for her outstanding work on the television series "Sunset Beach." Ms. Johnson recently developed a skin cream that addresses the real concerns of actors and actresses who are filmed in high definition, where even tiny lines and wrinkles can no longer be hidden by conventional makeup and lighting techniques. Designed to instantly smooth out fine surface lines and give a matte finish upon application, leaving the user with a smoother canvas for makeup application, this product, called "One," also firms and tones the skin. It is available at fine salons.
