He became involved in his profession after growing up in Florence, Italy. He attended a private boarding school where he was taught how to express his creativity through painting.

Mr. Stoddard was stationed in Germany for 16 years while serving in the Air Force. He has painted for George H.W. Bush, and prints of his paintings were given to Colin Powell and Dick Cheney.
