Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession in psychiatry because he was fascinated with the human brain and behavior. Also, growing up with a sister who is disabled contributed significantly.

Dr. Carrera has been a clinical assistant professor in psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix Campus since 2008.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Overseeing planning; Developing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating the operational aspects of a large integrated mental health program and community-based outpatient clinics; Providing outpatient, inpatient, residential rehabilitation, and consultative services to veterans and active military personnel
