Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
The highlight of her career was being appointed the human resources manager for Amoco Romania Petroleum Products. She built the policies and procedures manual for Romania, and this manual was used as a template by all of Amoco's Eastern European subsidiaries. Also remarkable was the fact that she relocated to Canada and utilized her hard work ethic and experience to become an accomplished oil and gas engineer in a new country.

She attributes her success to her perseverance and ambition, the fact that she enjoys change and challenges, and the attainable goals and objectives that she sets for herself.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in chemistry because she finds it to be magic in it; she chose gas and oil because it was a challenge, and she has never said no to a challenge.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Iftinca worked for 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Romania. She has also worked for Amoco Romania as an executive assistant, P&GA representative, and human resources professional. She worked for Nestle Canada for a short time in marketing, and spent six years with Amoco/BP Canada in various engineering roles. She spent an additional eight years with the Devon Energy Corporation. In September 2011, she joined the New Ventures team at TAQA North.
