What has been the most outstanding thing you have done thus far in your career?:
Ms. Walker's greatest career achievement's were earning recognition from peers, administration, parents and students in conjunction with guiding 75 percent of her 2007-2008 learners earn a perfect score on the state writing assessment, participating as a member on several state writing committees and her student's success.

Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Walker follows the educational philosophy which states that all children can learn. She believes one can feed a child an elephant if she feeds the child one spoonful at a time. The unmotivated learners attend summer school, but after teaching them, parents notice a positive change in their children's attitudes and a feeling of self-confidence. They advanced tremendously within a very small amount of time. She wants all students to succeed. She along with her dear friend and colleague, Cindy Sergeto, share their writing and reading strategies with teachers by visiting classrooms and providing professional development in-services. She always believe, she should not 'hide her talent under a bushel basket'. She lives by the golden rule and her late mother's mantra, 'do and be your best, The good Lord never gives you more than you can handle', Joyce Taylor Walker, Igniting 'Flashes of Brilliance'. Within a 10 month span, she lost her 'ultimate cheerleaders', mother and her spouse. She continues because, their pride in her shined brighter than all the stars dotting the heavens.
