Expanded Biography:
John Hahn was born on a dry land cattle ranch in Kiowa, CO. Later, his father Joe Hahn moved his family to western Colorado. At the age of 12, his dad put him on a Caterpillar Twenty skidding logs. John's dream as a child was to be a heavy equipment operator. The family moved to Idaho when he was thirteen. While in high school his dream was realized. He worked on a dry land wheat and cattle ranch. He operated a Caterpillar, doing farm work and pulling a 51 IH hillside combine. At nineteen he joined the army and was in the engineers division after it was discovered that John was experienced in that field. He was told to teach the others to be heavy equipment operators. After the service, he followed construction and drove heavy equipment for about ten years. John worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, selling and servicing giant earthmover tires on several dams and road jobs. He then went to Bible college, drove concrete mixer during college and became a pastor. He pastored for twenty years and still helped in construction, operating Cats, hillside combines and farm trucks part time. John's folks had been in the upholstery business since 1953. He started a Mobile Upholstery Business and worked on ranches, logging shops, making truck and equipment seats. His first love was caterpillars. In 1994 he joined ACMOC when he took his Mobile Upholstery Business to Brooks, OR. His business has become known throughout the world. Since he has settled in Craigmont, ID, he has shipped hundreds of seats from coast to coast in the United States.
