Dr. Oury has lectured on an international level conference on cardiac surgery. He also lectured at the Society for Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists on surgical considerations in aortic valve disease during their 'Fourth Annual Comprehensive Review and TEE Update' on clinical decision making in the cardiac surgery patient in 2001. He has also served as an expert medical witness and has authored several articles regarding the ross procedure.
