Extended Bio Profile:

Ms. Alfonzo has served as the head of humanities department at Mater Salvatoris School that comprehends Spanish, world and Hispanic Literatures, classic languages and fine arts. She taught Spanish, Hispanic literature and reading comprehension, and did literary and educational writing at Mater Salvatoris School. She wrote two essays about two XIX century Venezuelan writers in 1998 out of which one was a politician and the other was a poet. She published those essays in El Nacional, one of Venezuela’s largest circulation newspapers. Those essays were republished in 2002 in a book titled 50 Imprescindibles, whose compilator is Jesús Sanoja Hernández, a well-known Venezuelan historian. She wrote two grammar text books for ninth-grade students in 1999, where one was published by the Oxford University Press and the other book is currently with the editorial department of Básica, a Venezue.
